
From Attachés to Speakers: HSE University–Nizhny Novgorod Students Take Part in World Youth Festival Assembly
In September 2025, Nizhny Novgorod became the centre of the international youth movement, hosting around 2,000 participants from 120 regions of Russia and abroad at the World Youth Festival Assembly. Students of HSE University–Nizhny Novgorod’s Foreign Languages and Intercultural Business Communication, Fundamental and Applied Linguistics, and International Bachelor’s in Business and Economics programmes were involved in the event in a variety of roles, from attachés and volunteers to performers and speakers.

Anna Tyshetskaya, Director of HSE University–St Petersburg, held a working meeting with Claudio Ruff Escobar, Rector of Bernardo O'Higgins University (Chile). Expert sessions, an introduction to Russian culture, and international networking—on September 17–22, Nizhny Novgorod hosted the World Youth Festival Assembly. It united more than two thousand people from 120 countries and various Russian regions and universities, including HSE University–St Petersburg.

On September 23, the HSE University–St Petersburg Rope Shop Building hosted the Second Russian–Chinese Forum 'Culture of Education' and the annual meeting of the Russian–Chinese Association of Applied Research Institutes. More than 100 participants from leading non-government Chinese universities and representatives of 15 Russian universities discussed the integration of artificial intelligence in education and industry.

Works of HSE Art and Design Students Presented at Pingyao International Photography Festival
On September 19, the 25th Pingyao International Photography Festival (PIP) opened in Pingyao, Shanxi Province, China. The exhibition features the works of 16 students of the Faculty of Creative Industries at the HSE Art and Design School, selected following the results of the HSE Creative Open / Photoproject international competition, which received more than 300 entries.
