About 600 companies from 70 countries attended INNOPROM-2014 International Industrial Exhibition
The Fifth International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM-2014 attended by business representatives from 70 countries finished its work in Yekaterinburg on July 11.
“The exhibition and its business program have attracted about 600 companies from 70 countries. The largest delegations were sent by China, Japan, Germany, Thailand, USA, Canada, Latin American and Arab countries. All Russia’s business partners confirmed their willingness to work with our country”, says Anton Atrashkin, INNOPROM business program director.
Several noticeable events occurred during four days of the exhibition. The key one was its plenary session “Industry in Search for Intellect: Global Trends and Russia’s Specifics” attended by RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and top managers of major Russian and international companies. During his stay in Yekaterinburg, the premier took part in a thermal power station opening ceremony and familiarized himself with innovative domestic features developed by leading Russian and foreign companies including robotics products developed in Russia, Uralvagonzavod’s first innovative tram and ultramodern laser nano microscope.
The forum’s business program included expert discussions focused on development of computer engineering, import substitution, logistics, exports and intellectual capital in Russia. Several meaningful agreements were signed by results of INNOPROM exhibition, in particular, between EXIAR and Renault, State Corporation Rostechnologies and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Environmental & Chemical Engineering Co. Ltd (MHIEC), Uralvagonzavod and PESA, etc.
By words of its business program director, the INNOPROM exhibition has become more informative and comprehensive because participating companies brought their machine tools, robots and “the most innovative products”.
